We will review the purge process to delete the data from Non-PROD/Test instances.
Pre-Requisites:
User needs to have the Human Capital Management Integration Specialist job role or the “Purge Person Data in Test Environments” functional security privilege added to one of the roles.
Get the list of Person Numbers or Person IDs that must be purged. We can get this information from the Person Management screen or by querying the PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F table.
Navigate to Tools > Scheduled Processes
Click on Schedule New Process
Search for “Purge Person Data in Test Environments” process
We need to input the parameters for this process.
Once we input the Person IDs or Person Numbers or the Person Query, we can click submit and the process will purge the employees from all the tables.
After this process runs to success, we need to run the Send Pending LDAP Requests Process to delete the user accounts. The “Purge Person Data in Test Environments” generates the requests to delete the user accounts but the actual user accounts get deleted only if we run the “Send Pending LDAP Requests” process.
Note: The Purge Person Data process will not purge person data if they have any payrolls processed. We need to roll back the Payroll information first followed by running the purge process.
