In this article, we will look into adding the branding information to the Candidate facing Notifications that are triggered from the External Career Site.
When there are multiple Career sites one for each subsidiary company, then the notifications that get triggered to the candidates need to use the appropriate logo based on which career site they use. If they get notification using a different logo, then the candidate experience will be impacted and they might get into confusion on where they have applied for.
We can achieve this functionality using the “HTML Templates for Candidate Notifications” feature.
We need to configure the template of type “CE Notification Template” to achieve this requirement.

Create HTML Email Templates
Navigate to Setup and Maintenance and search for task “Manage HTML Email Templates“
Click on Add New
Select a template type:
- Campaign user email template
- Candidate notification email template
If you selected Campaign user email template, you need to select a campaign purpose:
- Respond to Request
- Refer Job
- Apply to Job
If you selected Candidate notification email template, you need to select an email type:
- Internal Template
- CE Notification Template
- AdHoc Template
- Global Template
We need to select the Email Type as “CE Notification Template” for our purpose of branding the candidate notifications from the Career Site.
Once we click save, it will open up a new tab with the HTML template design.
We can change the background color, logo and modify the subject.
Let’s change the logo by placing the Image URL and then we can modify the settings like Height, Width. We can also add the hyperlink to the image
Here is how the template looks like post the changes:
Click on save as draft at the top to save this template.
After that, click on three dots and activate this template.
Once, this template is activated, we need to attach this template to the External Career Site.
Add HTML Email Templates to Career Site
Navigate to Setup and Maintenance > Career Sites Configuration
Click Edit for the Career Site to which the notification needs to be tagged.
On the General tab, scroll down to find the Email Notification Template section.
Select the template that we just created and publish the career site.
The candidate notifications that get triggered post the publish will use the branding that we have set up on the HTML templates.
Similarly, if we have multiple career sites, we can create a different branding notification templates and tag it to the each individual career site.
