How to load PPM when encryption and masking have been enabled for Bank Accounts?

In order to load the Personal Payment Method, we need to have the required setup like Banks, Bank Branches and External Bank Accounts loaded.

If the Encryption and Masking has been enabled for Bank Account Numbers, then the actual Bank Account Number that is stored in the database will be different than the Bank Account Number that we pass on the HDL file. So, when we try to load the Personal Payment Method using the same bank account number used to load external bank account, it will not get loaded due to the inconsistency in the bank account number in database not matching with the file.

Here is a description from Oracle documentation on how bank account number works.

We can clearly see that the original column is not storing the actual account number in the third scenario when the encryption and masking are enabled.

So, we need to turn the masking off and then load the Personal Payment Methods and then turn the masking ON. During this process, we need to make sure that none of the downstream integrations are run, so it is ideal to do this during non-business hours.
