Introducing Fusion HCM KB Tools on Oracle APEX

In this article, we will look into Fusion HCM KB Tools that our team has developed using Oracle APEX.

These tools are designed to make the life easier for most frequently used objects that we search for.

Currently we have developed two tools:

  • Tables and Columns
  • Lookup Values

These tools have been designed with end user experience in view to make the search easier.

From the left-hand navigation click on 1. Tables and Cols or 2. Lookup Values to access specific tools.

Tables and columns Search Tool:

It will show a dashboard with the total number of tables by module and drill down is enabled by module, so when clicked it will take us to the tables list in that module.

We can also search by table name by clicking on the Table Search.

Here we can see the options to filter by Audit table/Translation table/Base table/Date tracked table. In the search results we can click on table name which takes us to the table details and shows the description and columns in it.

Lookup Values Search Tool:

Use this tool to search for Lookup Values. We can also do a reverse search to find the lookup type based upon the lookup value or meaning.

Search for Meaning or Description to find out the right lookup type that is needed.
